Overview

One layer that reads the whole business

Four parts of the company, one set of records, and Kala reading across them. Open one.Four parts of the company, one set of records. Open one.

Invoices, expenses, approvals and the ledger a bank accepts — and above them, the week your balance meets payroll, projected before it happens. Kala found this: two invoices, both 30 days late, close the October gap exactly.
Every client, their contract, their account manager and their health in one record. Kala watches reply times, spend and silence, and names the account that is drifting weeks before the non-renewal.
Headcount, leaves, payroll, compliance and the workforce signals that come months before a resignation letter: attendance drift, load on one person, leave piling up unapproved.
Tasks and projects on a board your team actually uses, with Kala following up on what is due before it becomes an apology — and flagging the milestone project with no activity for nine days.
Invoice management: paid, sent and draft invoices with Kala's invoice intelligence above the list
Client management: total, active, high-priority and on-retainer clients, with the client list
Human resource management: headcount, pending leaves and draft payrolls
Task orchestration: a kanban board with urgent and high priority tasks

Cash runway, revenue at risk, client health, churn, retention, capacity, team signals, cost drift, trend breaks, blind spots, content quality, data integrity. Kala reads your own records on a schedule and writes what it finds on the record it concerns.

On a phone

The whole thing works from a phone. Both halves of it.

The owner's dashboard and the employee's portal are the same product on a smaller screen, not a cut-down app. Nothing is hidden on mobile that you would need at a desk.Owner and employee, the same product on a smaller screen. Nothing you need at a desk is hidden here.

  • Owner — the brief, the numbers, approvals and Kala's findings, from anywhere
  • Employee — check in and out, their tasks, leave and payslips, from their own phone
  • Same login, same permissions — a person sees exactly what they see at a desk
  • No app store — it is the web product, so it is always the current version

For your team

Not just an owner's dashboard. Every person on the team logs in.

Each employee gets their own portal — not the owner's view with things hidden, a different screen built for the person doing the work. Attendance, their tasks, their leave and payslips, and a small amount of recognition for getting things done.Every employee gets a screen built for their work: attendance, tasks, leave, payslips.

  • Check in, check out — attendance from the portal, on a phone or a laptop
  • My tasks — only theirs, with the urgent and overdue ones called out at the top
  • Leave and payslips — balances, requests and slips without asking HR
  • Achievements — levels, streaks and badges that reward finishing, not just starting
  • Only what they are allowed — modules are switched on per person; a designer never sees payroll
  • Kala, where you enable it — the same layer, scoped to their own work
The employee portal: check in, leave balances, open tasks, efficiency score, achievements and alerts

FoundTeamMonday

Illustrative. These are the shapes of finding Kala's standing checks produce and the outcomes they lead to, not a customer's data.

FAQ

The ones that get asked first

A chat tool waits for you to know there is a question. Kala runs on a schedule against your own records, so it raises the thing you had no reason to ask about, and it writes the finding on the client, the project or the invoice it concerns, with the rows it read attached.

No. Kala's checks work on whatever is in the system, so the first module you move starts producing findings on its own. Most companies begin with finance or CRM and add the rest over the following weeks. Import tools exist for clients, staff, invoices and expenses.

You dismiss it, and that is recorded. Findings show the evidence they were drawn from precisely so you can disagree with them quickly. Kala does not act on money, publishing or client-facing changes on its own — those wait for a person.

Permissions are per venture and per role. Staff see their own work, managers see their teams, and finance is separately gated. If you run several ventures under one login, people are added to a venture rather than to your account.

The finance, CRM, HR and delivery engines are industry-neutral and are the reason most companies are here. The four agency suites are additional, switched off unless you want them. Agencies are where we came from, which is why that part is unusually deep.
